Surplus People is a Swedish/Finnish trio. Members are Petra Kiiskinen, who makes noise and melodies on old organs, Magdalena Ågren who sings, screams and makes sounds – sometimes through a megaphone or with trumpet or trombone – and Helena Engarås on bass.
Surplus People has toured intensely through Europe. Their music seduces and demolishes, invites you to a walk in the electronic forest, scares you and cradles you to feel safe. Encourages a riot.
